Art unifies architecture, interior design, furnishings, and accessories. Art brings a human touch to spaces and makes them more relatable. The scale of art allows you to play with big bold gestures as well as create small intimate spaces. Art is a language. Art is your cherry on top. At Studio Kale we listen, observe, and work directly with you to curate the best art for your space. We work with an array of talented artists, graphic designers, printers, framers, and installers. We love working with local artists, commissioning custom pieces, and discovering fresh, up-and-coming talent.

PROCESS
We want to translate your vision. Let us tour your space and listen to your needs. We will generate an initial concept package to ensure that we are all speaking the same language and working within your budget. Then we will draw up a plan indicating art locations. We will work with local framers and printers to provide pricing and installation. We would love to work with you early enough to coordinate feature wall locations and eliminate poor placement of outlets, fire extinguishers, etc.
We enjoy partnering with interior designers, architects, developers, building owners, and we work with an array of talented artists, printers, framers, and installers. We specialize in office, retail, senior living, and pretty much anywhere else that has a blank wall.

VANESSA KALE
Partner
Vanessa Kale has a BA in art studio from UC Davis. She is a relief print artist and has also worked as an architectural renderer, creating both watercolor and digital renderings.
Vanessa is co-owner of Studio Kale in partnership with her sister Liz Kale. With Studio Kale she produces custom art in a variety of processes including printmaking, painting, drawing, and digital illustration. Her surprising range from small originals to large wallcovering, and strong sense of design, are principal to her creations.
Vanessa grew up in the Pacific Northwest and currently resides in Altadena, CA with her husband and two boys.
LIZ KALE
Partner
Liz Kale received a BFA from Marylhurst University in Interior Design and has 20 years of commercial interior design experience. She founded Studio Kale with her sister, Vanessa Kale, in order to focus on the art consulting side of interior design.
Liz brings a unique perspective to art curation that encompasses a strong understanding of the architectural design process, from design through construction, and the expertise to identify and design a sense of place.
Liz is also a co-owner of One Twelve Publishing with Blue Mitchell, where they’ve published fine art photography in print and online since 2007.
Liz grew up in the Pacific Northwest and currently resides in Portland, OR with her husband and two girls.
