Call for Pacific Northwest Artists - CALL CLOSED
The Springs Living at Vancouver Waterfront
Studio Kale is seeking talented emerging and established artists in all media. We are currently seeking artwork for a 12-story senior living community on the Vancouver waterfront that is slated to open in 2024. We are seeking both finished pieces for purchase and commission work to be added to the permanent collection. Submissions for commission ideas can include examples of previous work with the intent to flush out design and concept after artist selection.
The overall themes and concepts are based on Washington and Oregon landscapes with a focus on the Vancouver waterfront on the Columbia River. The community offers a wide range of views and connections to the outdoors along the Columbia River with a rich history in trade and business. Spaces will feel like an extension of your living room with a modern take on the Pacific Northwest aesthetic. Water, mountain, landscape, textural, and historical pieces are encouraged. There are a variety of climates and landscapes that will be reflected throughout the design; from the cool coastal climates, through the lush forest, all the way to the dry eastern deserts, all displaying rich textures and colors.
The range of art we are curating includes: original paintings and reproductions works on paper/printmaking, wall mountable metal work, ceramics, glass, textiles/tapestries/wall hangings, photography, mixed media, and more.
Qualifications: Although we enjoy sourcing from local artists, they do not necessarily need to reside in the NW to be considered. The subject matter outlined above needs to reflect the Pacific Northwest.
Deadline for submittals: November 18th, 2022. 5:00pm PDT.
Please submit portfolio links below or message us for more information. If you do not have your work online that’s okay too, just send us a message. We look forward to hearing from you!
